UMYF welcomes all 6th-12th grade students in Johnston County to join our downtown Smithfield youth group.
We walk together as disciples of Jesus Christ through shared times of spiritual growth, fellowship and service. We meet on Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings each week during the school year. Weekly activities typically include a shared meal, games, and Bible study. Special events include churchwide activities like the Fall Festival and youth-specific events like our annual Pilgrimage trip.
All teens who need a place to belong in downtown Smithfield are welcome. We can’t wait to meet you!
Our Pastor of Youth and Programs, Rick Winders, has worked in local church youth ministry for nine years. Feel free to reach out to him with questions at r.winders@centenaryumcsmithfield.org.
“We are so grateful that our children have been involved in UMYF! This experience has allowed them to have community and fellowship through many meals, outings, retreats and fundraisers. The lessons learned through mission trips have been meaningful and helped them grow in their faith and service to others.”
