Children’s Ministry
Nursery & Sunday School:
8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Sundays
Our children’s ministry serves infants, toddlers, and children ages birth to 10 years. All are welcome to join us in our children’s wing on Sunday mornings.
More than simply childcare, our children’s program offers Bible education and plenty of fun and games. Elementary-age children participate in hands-on, age-appropriate service projects. We also enjoy special events throughout the year, like our Easter Egg Hunt and Fall Festival.
Your family is welcome at Centenary. Stop by any Sunday—we can’t wait to meet you!
Our Director of Children’s Programs, Marjorie Harris, has worked with children in churches and schools for more than 20 years. Feel free to reach out to her with questions at centenaryumcchildren@gmail.com.

Our nursery and Sunday School are open every Sunday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We offer age-appropriate programming for infants, toddlers and children ages birth to 10 years.

Children are welcome to join our community worship at 10:55 a.m. each Sunday. After the Children’s Sermon, all children ages birth through 10 years are welcome to leave the sanctuary with our Children’s Director and attend Children’s Church. This programming teaches the day’s Bible lesson in fun, age-appropriate ways.

Our elementary-age children have opportunities 1-2 times per month to participate in our Backpack Buddies program. On these Sundays, during Sunday School hour (10-10:45 a.m.), children help pack grocery bags for other children in need. This simple, hands-on service is a great way for young children to engage in service learning and participate in the life of our church.

Our annual special events include:
Bible Class & Bible Gifting Ceremony for 3rd Graders (February/March)
Easter Egg Hunt (March/April)
Vacation Bible School (August)
Fall Festival (October)
Breakfast with Santa (December)
Christmas Play (December)
“Centenary children’s ministry has come full circle for our family. I grew up in this church and the children’s ministry as a child, then worked here as a nursery worker through high school and college. Now, my husband Brandon and I get to raise our children in this church and have them participate in the children’s ministry. We love being a part of Centenary and the children’s ministry here!”
