Centenary United Methodist Church Preschool is a half-day preschool in downtown Smithfield, NC. We nurture each child with the love of Christ, guided by Methodist values of compassion, inclusion and service. Using a play-based approach, we create a joyful, faith-filled environment where children grow in kindness, curiosity, and a lifelong love of God and learning.

All classes are Monday - Thursday, 9:00am-12:00pm.
- Two's/Jr. Preschool (20 month inquiries are welcomed)*: 2, 3 or 4 days per week
- Three's/Preschool: 3 or 4 days per week
- Four's/Pre-K - (Must be 4 by 8/31/26 ): 4 days per week
Registration is available throughout the school year as class openings become available. CUMC Preschool follows the traditional school year calendar for Johnston County Public Schools. Typically, we begin our school year after the Labor Day holiday and conclude in Mid-May.
*Individual considerations are made according to developmental readiness and current classroom dynamics
- 4 days/week (M-TH): $215 per month
- 3 days/week (T/W/TH): $200 per month
- 2 days/week (either M/W or T/TH): $145 per month

Registration Fee
A one-time, non-refundable fee is due at the time of registration.
Fee Amounts:
- Before March 1, 2026: $120
- On or After March 2, 2026: $130
