Music Notes

Chancel Choir meets on Wednesday evenings from September through May. We practice to prepare for Sunday worship services and other special music events. We sing a variety of styles of music. Please come & check us out!

Director of Music, Andrew Wheeler , andrewwheeler@earthlink.net

Andrew Wheeler directs three vocal choirs and three handbell/chime choirs. He is a graduate of Chowan College in Murfreesboro and has studied with numerous teachers over the years, including James Marshall of Raleigh, also a Fellowship member.

In addition to The Fellowship, he is a member of The American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR) and The American Guild of Organists (AGO). He is a former member of the Johnston County Choral Society.

Prior to his position at Centenary UMC, he served as organist at Edgerton Memorial United Methodist Church in Selma, NC, and Divine St. UMC in Dunn, NC. He has served as Director of Music/Organist at Four Oaks UMC, Four Oaks, NC and Benson UMC in Benson, NC.
